ABOUT EVENT

For the 3rd consecutive year, Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School is organising a Foreign Languages Day which will be held on Wednesday 28th November 2018, during the school´s Open Week. It will be held between 9am and 12pm on the school premises.

The two main aims of this event are to highlight the importance of knowing a foreign language at any place of work and to encourage students to pursue learning a foreign language or more when furthering their studies.

Thus, all Form 4 students from state and non-state secondary schools together with their Language teachers are invited to attend the event where several activities will be organized. The students will be given the opportunity to attend a panel-discussion about the importance of foreign languages for work and leisure as well as take part in language games whilst familiarizing themselves with the school and getting a taste of what it can offer in relation to foreign languages. The programme will be varied, informative and entertaining.

Attached please find the Open Day poster promoting the events including the Foreign Languages Day. Interested schools are kindly asked to register by sending an email to gcurmi.hss@gov.mt indicating: the name of the school, the number of students attending per language group and the number of accompanying teachers per language group by Friday, 16th November.
